Walking My Path, Honoring Yours

There are moments when I look back and feel a quiet ache in my heart. Times when I spoke too strongly, trying to press my truth onto others. For me, what I said felt real, clear, and even protective. But for them, it might have felt confusing, wrong, or simply not meant for them. Maybe that’s why they stayed quiet.

It wasn’t always about insisting. Sometimes it was simply excitement like a child saying, “Look, I discovered this!” That joy would overflow in me and make me share at times, even if others weren’t ready to receive it.

I realize now that I wasn’t trying to impose,  I was trying to protect. I didn’t want people I love to go through unnecessary pain, trouble, or confusion. My heart wanted to spare them from what I had once endured. But in doing so, I forgot an important truth that everyone has their own path, their own lessons, their own rhythm of discovery.

Having said this, I now feel I don’t even want to share my insights with anyone without being asked. I wish for everyone to have their own lost-and-found moments in life their own space to realize their unique truth. And I see now that, however much I love them, even letting them experience life for themselves is also a form of love I have learned.

My truth is not the ultimate truth. It may be medicine for me, but not necessarily for them. What I can offer is presence, kindness, and love not answers or directions. And perhaps the greatest gift I can give is to let others unfold in their own way, while I keep walking gently with my own.
